OSRealms -- Session 4
I met some new adventurers today. Seems one of St Ygg’s bunch had a vision or something and realized they were stuck in the wilderness, needing help, or maybe just an infusion of courage. I’m a fighting man and got no lack of that, so off I went.
Turns out they were all alive, just half dead from poison. Some sort of snake creature called an amphi… Something. Two heads, no ass, poisonous obviously. How does the thing shit?
Anyways, they met two, killed one, drove off the other, but practically everyone there damn near died from the thing’s poison. Two of them just went straight home, calling it quits on the adventuring life. “For now”, they said. “We’ll be back”, they said. When hell freezes over, I didn’t say. Tact, I has it. Two of their henchmen didn’t make it at all. I hear the one fellow, Oscar, has a 0/3 record now. He brought back a dog alive once.
OSRealms -- Session 3
I resume writing after a very long day of events both chilling and deadly!
Last night I interrupted two men loitering near u-Heury’s room, pretending to be drunk. At first, my efforts to awaken my companions were in vain. I was forced to carry through on my bluff, taking my chamberpot downstairs to empty it into the water closet. Amazing that a town so small has sewers!
After a minute or two I started up the stairs again, hoping to catch the two men in some nefarious act. They were still outside the door to u-Heury’s room, but with no indication they had entered. I remained suspicious, but could not act. However… Luckily my banging about woke BB, who had retired earlier than the rest of us. In a few whispered words l brought him up to speed, and he took the lead interrogating the pair while I peppered the conversation with drunken insights (“say, wasn’t that u-Heury’s room?” “Why have you been waiting outside for several minutes?”). Eventually the commotion woke the innkeeper, who sent us all to bed; the suspicious pair retired to a room at the far end of the corridor from the one they had been loitering outside. BB took second watch over our room.
OSRealms -- Session 2
We started where we left off – sitting in a wagon full of offal, plus a crate of iron ingots marked with the mark of the Silver Citadel. We had just reclaimed it from a band of orcs outside their cave (without actually dealing with the orcs), and then fleeing. The horse was exhausted, as were we, but we chose to press on back to Eastdale. We were delayed by the need to bypass round a field of some reddish flowers. The horse didn’t want anything to do with the field and we chose to defer to it’s animal cunning.
OSRealms -- Session 1
Ten of us and a rented mule set out to discover what befell a missing caravan. The local church leadership believed the caravan had been raided by orcs. Our task was to find out what happened, recover the cargo if possible, save the men if possible, and destroy whoever was responsible for the attack, presuming there was one.
One night outside of town we found a henge on a hill with wagon tricks leading in, along with a lot of blood. We figured this is where the attack happened, so we set some people to investigate the area of while the rest of us made camp.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 9
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group having forced the Redbrands out of Phandalin. They reunited with Ford, who had escorted the prisoners from the Redbrand’s hideout back home. He informed them that there was still a strange tentacle monster underneath the hideout, eating the remains they had found. The party returned long enough to slay the creature and recover the carpenter’s body.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 8
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group exploring the Redbrand’s hideout, Ford having left to escort the prisoners home. Ford had declared his intention to take the carpenter’s body with him so it could be buried properly, and indeed when the group returned to the center chamber the body was gone.
Creeper led the way, investigating a corridor into the north-west area of the building. He found two doorwars, north and south. The one to the south had voices leaking through the door, so he retreated and asked Ragash to open the northern door. She did, surprising a rat that ran under a table. The room itself was filled with alchemical supplies and a small library of reference books and materials. Later examination revealed a Dwarven book on the mines of Phandelver, mentioning a Spellforge used to create magical items, once of which was a mace named Lightbringer.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 7
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Jeff (Ford), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group lurking in the forest near Phandalin, surveiling a small cave that the Redbrands used for some mysterious purpose. Creeper led the way in, finding a passage about a hundred feet long that opened into a rough cavern that had clearly been improved for civilized use. The room was dimly lit by oil lamps along the wall, and bisected by a crevice that was in turn crossed by two simple rope bridges.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 5
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Coby (Azza), Jeff (Ford), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group during a brief lull in the action at Cragmaw Keep. Action resumes as the party engages in running battles with a variety of goblins and hobgoblins. Creeper scouted ahead to the northwest area of the castle, finding the next room empty, but hearing the sound of hobgoblins putting on armor from behind a door. He returned to the group to warn them, only to be ambushed by the tentacle creature and knocked unconscious again. Seeing Creeper fall, Ragash rushed to attack the tentacled monstrosity, but it fled before his attack. Goblins and hobgoblins trampled Creeper’s helpless body on their way to attack Ragash, driving the half-orc back to his tabaxi charge.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 6
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Coby (Kyros), Jeff (Ford), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group fighting with someone or something who looked like Azza. The creature fell to their attacks quickly, and upon dying, returned to a strange almost gelatinous form in vaguely humanoid shape. It no longer resembled Azza at all by that point. Ford took the items from the body, and both corpses were dragged into the room where the party had made camp.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver -- Session 4
Dean (Jared), Matt (Spinter Paw), Mariel (Ragash), Coby (Azza), Jeff (Ford), Chris (Creeper), and James (Kraygen) are returning cast members.
We left the group in Phandalin, looking for the location of Cragmaw Keep. They began by speaking with Sister Graele, who did not know herself but did know of a local druid who knew the area. She did not have a way to contact him. However, after discussing the Redbrands (a local group of mercenaries running a protection racket on the town), and getting a feel for the characters, she suggested a mission. She has recently found a fragment of a spellbook from a legendary wizard, suggesting the rest may be in the area. She needs to question the last person known to possess it, a woman named Agatha… unfortunately, this individual is no longer among the living. However, Agatha is rumored to persist in the form of an undead spirit. Local legends suggest her wail is terrible and fearful, but if approached with flattery and perhaps a gift of sufficient beauty, she may be persuaded to answer questions. The party expressed interest in completing this task later, when the screams of Gundren Rockseeker being tortured by goblins were no longer echoing in their ears. Sister Graele also suggested asking around at the local farms for information on the local of Cragmaw Keep.
